At Royal Empire Gaming, we take pride in offering quality retro and modern games. To ensure fairness and clarity, our return policy is outlined below for both brand-new and pre-owned items.
Brand-New Games
- Return Window: Brand-new games can be returned within 30 days of purchase.
- Return Condition: Returns are only accepted for unopened and sealed games. Opened games are not eligible for a refund, even if unused.
- Refund Type: Approved returns are issued as store credit only.
- Wrong Game or Change of Mind:
Returns are not accepted if the customer simply changes their mind or purchased the wrong game. - Duplicate Gifts:
If the item is new and unopened and returned after the 30-day window, we may accept it as an even-value exchange, but only for store credit and at our discretion. - Suspicious or Tampered Returns:
We reserve the right to refuse returns if the item shows signs of tampering, swapped discs, or is found to be a counterfeit. We verify games using authenticity checks, warranty seals, and the documented condition at time of sale.
Pre-Owned Games
- Return Window: Pre-owned games can also be returned within 30 days of purchase.
- Condition-Based Returns:
Pre-owned games must be returned in the same condition they were sold in. Opened pre-owned games are not refundable but may qualify for our trade-in program. - Trade-Ins of Opened Games:
If a customer wants to return an opened brand-new game, we may accept it as a trade-in, with value adjusted based on condition loss.
Defective or Non-Working Discs
We take game quality seriously. If a game does not work:
- We will test the game in-store to confirm the issue.
- If needed, we’ll polish or repair the disc at no cost.
- If the game is still defective, we will offer to:
- Replace it with the same title (if available), or
- Order a replacement copy, or
- Issue store credit equal to the game’s original purchase price.
Restocking & Shipping
- We do not charge a restocking fee.
- Shipping is not available at this time. All returns must be made in person at our store.
Final Notes
All refunds and exchanges are issued as store credit only. We do our best to be fair and transparent, but the integrity of our inventory is critical—any returns that violate these policies will be declined.
